The ‘must-attend biennial’ event of China's textiles and fashion industry, the 20th International Exhibition on Textile Industry (ShanghaiTex 2021), will be held at Shanghai New International Expo Center, Pudong, Shanghai, PR China, from November 23-26, 2021, organisers have announced. With vaccines likely to become widely available by the end of 2020 and extensively applied from mid-2021, global economic recovery and cross-border travel are expected to resume by the end of 2021, the show’s organisers say.

“The pandemic has driven the demand for virus-proof products such as masks and protective clothing. Many international textile and apparel brands have incorporated antibacterial and functional concepts into their products. ShanghaiTex2021 will explore new business opportunities for the textile industry to upgrade and optimize their products with showcases and concurrent activities,” the organisers explain.
