As ITMA Asia + CITME opened its doors to visitors at the weekend, leading flat knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki launched its own Online Booth. The Wakayama, Japan based company is also exhibiting live in Shanghai and has announced a number of innovations, including the introduction of its next generation of WHOLEGARMENT technology – see Next generation WHOLEGARMENT technology on show in Shanghai.

Through its exhibit theme—Step Beyond—Shima Seiki is presenting its vision of the future, while addressing a variety of solutions for the new normal.

A highlight of the Online Booth is a video message from Shima Seiki President Mitsuhiro Shima, in which he outlines his vision for the digitalisation and automation of a global sustainable knitwear industry. The presentation is in Japanese with English subtitles.
