A vertically integrated fabric and garment producer Gamateks submitted 18 fabrics for judging at ISPO Textrends, which took place during ISPO Munich last month. An independent jury of textile experts selected 11 of these fabrics for special recognition, including three featuring Invista’s Lycra fibre innovations.

The three innovations were recognised in the Eco Era category, which featured more sustainable and energy-saving products.

Gamateks, a Turkish-based firm that specialises in circular knitting, has developed a special black circular knitted legging fabric called Soft Comfort 2. Made with Lycra Soft Comfort technology (T902C fibre), this fabric is said to deliver exquisite comfort and fit and will appeal to premium brands and their consumers.

The second fabric called Next400 contains Lycra T400 fibre and Coolmax technology to keep athletes cool and dry. Gamateks believes this innovative fabric will be a popular choice for ISPO visitors as it can be used from ready-to-wear to stretch activewear collections.

Finally, the third selected innovation Wooderer is another fabric with Lycra T400 fibre, offering Coolmax technology benefits. It is a viscose and Lycra T400 pique fabric blend developed primarily for men’s golf and tennis lines.
