Nylstar, one of the leading providers of Polyamide 6.6 filaments and yarns, re-launches Meryl Mattesse, the popular Meryl yarn, known for its dull matte appearance.

Mostly used for premium winter tights, Meryl Mattesse is also suited for use in active apparel, the company reports. Thanks to its natural stretchability and fresh touch, Meryl Mattesse is said to achieve high standards of comfort while offering a great shape.

Meryl Mattesse yarns

Despite its delicate and soft appearance, Meryl Mattesse is also said to be highly resistant to abrasion and is designed to maintain its attractiveness more time. Meryl dull matte full draw yarns are available in different categories:

Meryl Mattesse Compression is appropriate for achieving additional comfort and Meryl Mattesse Opaque is said to offer premium opaqueness.

Meryl Mattesse yarns are now also available in dope dyed yarn counts, the sustainable option to achieve amazing and permanent colours. Colours that are available include black, white and grey, alone or in melanges duo and combined with the company’s Black Magic.

Autumn/Winter 2016

Meryl Mattesse is the perfect partner for this season to design and present the most attractive and exclusive tights, according to the manufacturer.

According to the latest Autumn/Winter 2016 fashion analysis, dull matte tights are the new trend and emerge as a styling piece, seen dressed up with heels, paired with suit jackets or as part of a bodysuit look. Tights are seen in opaque solids and matte sheers, with abstract and textural print.

It seems that next season predominant colour for hosiery will be purple: in electric violet and blue tones, or subtle shades of dark lavender, aubergine and berry that are easier to coordinate with apparel, the company reports. A matte, opaque finish is most popular, though with a sparkling effect.
