The 2016 Prime Source Forum (PSF), the international platform that offers solutions and intelligence exchange for the fashion industry, is to open its doors in three weeks in Hong Kong.
Senior executives and senior stakeholders from the apparel and footwear supply chain have signed up for attending this event receive the latest industry updates and network with the peers.

First-class keynote speakers
The Minister of Ethiopia, Dr Arkebe Oqubay and Mr Tino Zeiske, SVP of METRO GROUP, will kick off the forum on two separate days.
Mr Zeiske will share with his audience his interpretation of the sustainable development of the fashion world following the G7 Summit and COP21, whilst Dr Oqubay will showcase how Ethiopia can be the preferred destination for investment in the textile and apparel industry.
TPP & OBOR revitalising the Pacific belt and the Silk Road
This session aims to explore how we can gain from these two mega-regional projects. Mr Christian Ewert, of Foreign Trade Association from Belgium, Mr Robert Sinclair, of LF Sourcing, Mr Jay Burdett, of Sears, and Mr Alex Young, of TexRay, will make their points in this panel. Facts about the development of the emerging sourcing regions will also be analysed.
3D – driving fashion to the future
Prominent speakers from Dassault Systemes, New Balance, PolyU and Top Form will unveil results and best practices when adopting 3D and Virtual Reality. They will envision future application of such technology and change-management before embarking on such transformative initiatives.
Risk mitigation in the age of increasing transparency
Brands and manufacturers are under a more powerful spotlight than ever before to make their activities transparent along the supply chain. Better communication and collaboration can help mitigate the mutual risks and provide competitive advantage for both parties.
Panel participants from EastMax, FleishmanHillard, Lectra, VF and others will explore how companies are evolving their communication activities to handle this new normal and what opportunities it presents.
Sustainability discussions
Sustainability has ever become so integrated into the apparel and footwear supply chain. Ways to drive further adoption at all price points and leverage common tools to improve sustainability performance whilst cost control, will be discussed by professionals from CTC, H&M, Primark, SAC and TAL on the first forum day.
On the second day, the current status of the environmental policy of the textile and apparel industry in China, the new policies and the recommended approaches will also be updated by the Chinese policy formulator. GAFTI and SAC will make their announcement of the upcoming collaboration when the forum goes to the end.
