SAS Textiles, a circular knitter of contemporary and performance textiles, will join other prestigious textile manufacturers at Lenzing Pavilion during the 19th edition of Texworld USA, the bi-annual textile and sourcing event that takes place at the New York’s Javits Convention Center from 21-23 July.
The company will exhibit a wide range of domestically manufactured, fine gauge and novelty knitted fabrics in various blends of Lenzing viscose, MicroModal, Tencel, and ProModal, along with Supima cotton and other fibres. The knitter is also using eco-friendly blends of recycled polyester, Tencel, and organic cotton.
“With equipment ranging from super fine gauge jersey machines, to single and double knit stripers, electronic mini-jacs, and sweater gauge jacquard machines, we offer our customers a wide range of constructions using Lenzing’s luxurious fibres,” commented Sean Sassounian, company President and CEO.
New Sport line
The show will also see the debut of the company’s SAS Sport line, featuring high-performance synthetic and stretch fabrics for the active, outdoor, and lifestyle markets. The new offerings include CAFTA-qualified technical fabrics with inherent moisture management, cooling, and UV-protection functions; as well as on-trend patterns and textures.
SAS has recently formed a strategic partnership with a local printer for sublimation printing on its polyester fabrics. “The active and yoga brands are moving beyond basic fabrics and into more visual textures and prints,” commented Uwe Heintel, VP Global Sales, Business & Product Development.
