Thai polyester facilities resume full-scale operation

Teijin Limited has announced that Teijin (Thailand) Limited in the Bang Pa-in Industrial Estate of Thailand’s Ayutthaya Province, which was flooded by torrential rainfall in October 2011 and then resumed partial operation in February this year, returned to full-scale production on October 31. All three Teijin Group polyester production facilities in Thailand affected by the flooding are again operating normally.

Teijin's polyester plants in Thailand are now back in full operation.

The other two facilities — Teijin Polyester (Thailand) Limited in Pathum Thani Province and Teijin Cord (Thailand) Co., Ltd. in the Rojana Industrial Park of Ayutthaya Province — resumed full-scale production in September and August, respectively.

Teijin explains that with the three facilities operating normally, output will focus on high-profit, high-performance products that strengthen the Teijin Group’s competitive edge in global polyester fibre production.
