Organisers of July’s Interfilière Paris say that whilst their aim is always to reflect the international market for the textiles industry, they have always worked hard to support innovation by encouraging the development of new technologies and the latest to catch their eye is cosmetic textiles.
Initiated by pioneering exhibitors a dozen or so years ago, cosmetic textiles made a discrete entrance at Interfilière Paris through microencapsulation technology. Cosmetic textiles have since been further developed and enhanced and are now taking their place in the limelight, thanks to the influence of shapewear and the slimming market.
According to Interfilière, different product types overlap in this market, however, since its scope is poorly defined. These include cosmetic textiles, technical fibres and innovative textile structures such as shapewear and micromassage.
Interfilière Paris, in collaboration with the Fédération de la Maille et de la Lingerie, has therefore decided to take stock of this high-potential sector and ask some searching questions such as:
These are some of the questions that experts will aim to answer throughout July’s show.
An international symposium on the subject of cosmetic textiles , organized by the Fédération de la Maille et de la Lingerie is being held on Saturday 7 July at 4.30pm and 5.30pm in the conference room in Pavilion 1 at Interfilière Paris.

A number of Interfilière Paris exhibitors including Eurojersey, Nurel and Dogi, all leading companies in their sectors, as well as brands present at Mode City such as Skin up, will offer the benefit of their experience.
Specialists involved in the symposium such as microencapsulation manufacturers and experts on legislative issues and certification will be available to meet visitors throughout the 3-day show.
Organisers have also arranged a cosmetic textiles tour of the show designed to help visitors gain an overview of the exhibitors involved in this sector, whether they are presenting fabrics at Interfilière Paris or finished products at Mode City.
