Säntis Textiles is to establish a Swiss-based sister company, Säntis Textiles AG.
The expansion will enable it to connect with Swiss and global counterparts to support a wide range of businesses to implement sustainable closed-loop systems. Inventor of the unique RCO100 technology, Säntis champions recycled cotton and produces 100% recycled cotton yarns without the use of chemical processes or regenerated fibres.
Säntis Textiles AG aims to help develop the technical knowledge and expertise of the Swiss market, advancing textile solutions and looking to design industry-changing processes while celebrating Swiss heritage. The new Swiss-focused hub will head up the recycled development side of the wider business.
Säntis Textiles AG is taking the opportunity to work with independent brands and support design teams to develop solutions that promote circularity, eco-conscious fabrication, and to enhance consumer and designer awareness of sustainable fashion choices.
“Now is an interesting time for our business,” says creative director Annabelle Hutter. “In expanding and setting up a new headquarters in Switzerland we are responding to a shift in consumer mindset. As our business continues to grow, so does the number of brands we support. This offers great opportunities to further implement sustainable practices globally and help designers to make environmentally conscious business decisions. We look forward to seeing what this brings.”
The company has recently also partnered with CIEL Textile to supply 100% recycled cotton yarns to be used as part of a new knitwear range.
