At the upcoming Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris trade fair, scheduled from February 10–12, 2024, at the Paris-Le-Bourget Exhibition Centre, attendees will be introduced to Néocène, the trend book for the Spring-Summer 2026 season. Created by artistic directors Louis Gérin and Grégory Lamaud, this forward-looking guide offers a bold aesthetic framework for fashion designers and buyers, capturing a world in flux and pushing the boundaries of creative expression.
A world of emotional exploration
In a time marked by economic, social, and environmental challenges, Néocène proposes a clean slate, where raw emotion takes precedence over mere materials. Drawing insights from an interdisciplinary panel of stylists, designers, and artists, this guide maps out four thematic universes, each resonating with unique materials and a carefully curated palette of three “star colours” and six intermediary shades. Together, these themes serve as a springboard for developing collections that reflect the profound transformations shaping our world.
Four Universes of Creativity
Each theme delves into distinct aesthetic dimensions, inviting exploration of material, form, and colour:
- Quantum: A universe rooted in energy and freedom. Here, fluid and heated materials evoke a sense of alchemy, with sunlit hues of tan, caramel, and spicy tones dominating the palette.
- Gravity: Reflecting the weight of the physical and emotional world, this theme emphasizes biomimicry, sequential patterns, and sandy textures. Its diaphanous, natural colour palette evokes the serenity of interdependence.
- Relativity: A play on contrasts and oxymorons, this theme transforms the “ugly” into the beautiful. Mummified vegetal motifs and draped textures highlight ash, tattoo ink, and deep blues and mauves.
- Magnetism: Celebrating lightness and renewal, this axis focuses on transparency and fluidity. Floral motifs and soft curves dominate, with colours like blush pink, peach, and marshmallow lending an airy emotional resonance.
Revamped exhibition layout for enhanced synergies
In addition to the trend book, Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris is enhancing its visitor experience with a redesigned exhibition layout. The Trends Forum, located in Hall 2, will showcase the Néocène themes, alongside engaging conferences at the Agora and vibrant dining spaces. Key sectors have been reorganized to foster synergies, with women’s clothing centralized in Hall 4 and outdoor, sportswear, and casualwear highlighted in Hall 3. This optimized layout streamlines the sourcing process, making it both efficient and inspiring.
A must-visit hub for fashion professionals
Texworld Apparel Sourcing Paris continues to solidify its position as a global hub for creative innovation, attracting professionals from across the fashion and textile industries. As part of Messe Frankfurt France’s broader cluster of trade fairs, it runs in conjunction with Avantex and Leatherworld, ensuring a comprehensive experience for attendees.
