The report provides an introduction to world trade and then focuses in greater detail on the leading ten clothing exporters. China was the largest exporter in 2013, followed by the EU, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Vietnam, India, Turkey, Indonesia, the USA, Cambodia, Malaysia, Pakistan, Mexico, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
Strong growth was seen in exports to a number of countries in Asia and the Middle East. Growth in exports from most countries to the USA was more moderate while exports from most countries to EU markets recovered only to levels seen in 2011 following declines in 2012.
