Turkish knitters exhibit at Texworld USA
The 2013 winter edition of Texworld USA, which kicks off this week (14 - 16 January) at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, features a new Turkey Pavilion hosting a number of Turkish knitters who are keen to increase their presence in the US market.

The 2013 winter edition of Texworld USA, which kicks off this week (14 - 16 January) at the Javits Convention Center in New York City, features a new Turkey Pavilion hosting a number of Turkish knitters who are keen to increase their presence in the US market.
Ten Turkish companies and associations will present their new fabrics in a fully booked exhibition hall. Turkey is a major apparel sourcing nation and organisers say that the Turkey Pavilion adds to the diversity of the trade show which currently has 240 confirmed exhibitors from 16 countries. The Turkey Pavilion is sponsored by UTIB, the Uludag Textile Exporters Association based in Turkey.
“Turkey is the largest textile producer in Europe as well as an important cotton and synthetic fibre producer. We export middle to high end fashion fabrics to more than 180 countries and trade zones,” says Mr. Hilmi Gülcemal, Member of Board of UTIB. “At Texworld USA, leading Turkish companies will show their unique and high quality products which are often available in large quantities and within weeks.”
Texworld USA labels itself as the largest sourcing event in North America for apparel fabric buyers, R&D and product development specialists, designers, merchandisers and overseas sourcing professionals. The show is co-located with the International Apparel Sourcing Show.

Berra Tekstil
Founded 2002. Berra Textile aims to be “the best which served all the products and services ensure customer satisfaction in Turkey and foreign markets”. Berra Textile is exhibiting organic fabrics, single jersey, lycra jersey, jacquard jersey, pique, lacoste, cardigan, yarn dyed, interlock, rib, camisole, two yarn and three thread at Texworld USA.

Fancy knits used for women's apparel, compositions include rayon, polyester, polyamide, acetate, acetate and polyamide, viscose and crepe yarns.

Lale MefruÅŸat
Lale Furnishings were founded in 1968 in Sultanhamam. Having a 44-year long history in the home textile industry, the firm last established facilities in 1990 in Çatalca County of Istanbul where it has continuously renewed its Karl Mayer jacquard knit machinery and “by always prioritising and improving the quality up to now”.
Since early 2004, Lale Furnishings has added to its production range the Somet Alfa and Dornier looms as well as Fantasy – Jacquard and Dobby Weave cutting organza, voile, tulle, taffeta, double and silk tulle, burn-out fabric varieties. Laces for ladies outwear will also be exhibited.
Mayteks Örme
Mayteks has 20,000 square meters of production facilities and has a monthly 900 tons of knitting and 600 tons of dyeing-finishing capacity in its own factories. Mayteks says it has been doing business with the best known companies all over the world thanks to its high technologies, high quality production, high service quality, professional management and with staff with good expertize. At Texworld USA, knitted fabric both printed and non printed made from cotton, viscone, polyester and other fibers and from their blends will be exhibited.
ÜnaÅŸ Tekstil
Unas Textile Industry and Commerce Incorporation has been founded in April 4th, 2007. Begining with 1980s, bridal fabrics are chosen to be the main field of profession. This fair, Unas is exhibiting fabric, lace and accessory production for bridal and wedding dress.
