Leading socks knitting machine manufacturer Busi Giovanni is a key player in socks manufacturing, both internationally and locally, in the close-knit community of Botticino (Brescia), near to Lake Garda in Northern Italy. As is often the case in Italy culture, history and industry are closely intertwined, as Busi customer DèPio shows in its latest socks collection.

“Again, Busi’s story weaves together with one of the most leading Italian company in the sock production field. Our businesses proudly located in the same geographical area called Botticino, continue their story of friendship and mutual cooperation in order to improve and to grow despite any crisis and any troubles,” says Busi Commercial & Marketing Director Paola Claudia Baldracchi.

Busi is a resilient family business, which has carried on during this year’s coronavirus pandemic. “Over such a difficult period we haven’t stopped implementing new ideas and realizing novel projects. On the contrary we have deepened our business cooperation and strengthened our relationship,” Paola Claudia explains

“Who is then the last new-born?” Busi asks. “Well, amazing socks designed and produced by DèPio thanks to their long-lasting expertise as well as endless creativity with a Busi sock-knitting machine which made all that possible.”

“Inspiration has come over when DèPio’s designers imagined and then realized a new collection of socks as a tribute to the statue Vittoria Alata, symbol of victory in our territory.”

“Love for our territory, originality, love for beauty, imagination and technical know-how have been blended. And this is only the prelude to the national cultural happening throughout the year 2023 when our towns, Brescia and Bergamo, open their gates to unprecedented extraordinary cultural events to become Italy’s capitals of culture,” concludes Paola.

Since 1958 Busi Giovanni has specialised in the design and construction of single-cylinder machines with rib needles in the dial for the production of high-quality stockings, socks and tights. The company is a supplier to the most important producers of stockings, socks and tights, for the men's, women's and children's markets - classic, patterned, sports, technical-sports, as well as medical, with special solutions for graduated compression.

The family-run company sells in 63 countries around the world (90% export) through a network of partners that provide distribution and service.
