Italian warp knit seamless (WKS) specialist Cifra is launching a new website this week. According to Cesare Citterio, CEO, the new website will focus more specifically on athleisure, include many videos and other visually appealing features, as well as technical specifications of the company’s WKS technology.

The Milan based company designs and produces seamless socks, tights, pantyhose and seamless garments for intimate apparel, activewear, and fashion for leading European and worldwide retailers and brands.

According to the company, with the new website it aims to offer brands an easy way to get to know Cifra technology and learn about ways they can realise their own products with Cifra.

Cifra is one of a handful of companies in the world, which has exploited the true potential of warp knit seamless technology to date. The company has the largest plant of double needle bar jacquard machines in the world, which are mainly supplied by Karl Mayer. Earlier this year, the company announced plans to further invest into new machinery from Karl Mayer, including the new RDPJ 6/2 EL double needle bar jacquard machines in 24 gauge, to meet increasing demand for its seamless products.

Cifra has been strong in seamless lingerie, hosiery body wear and fashion for many years and has recently expanded significantly into the sportswear segment.

Sportswear now accounts for 70-80% of Cifra’s output and it lists adidas, Lululemon Athletica, Falke, The North Face, Diadora, Biotex, Decathon and Zerofit amongst the companies it manufactures for.

Cifra’s warp knitting seamless (WKS) technology allows the creation of garments which have no uncomfortable seams where the garment comes in contact with the skin – both on upper body and legs.

The company, located in the industrial area of Brianza near Milan, was founded in the 1960s when seamless fishnet tights first appeared and radically transformed women’s hosiery. Today, Cifra is well known for its technologically advanced production and continues to invest in research and development for new products. The company utilises the best quality yarns and supplies the more prestigious world labels with fishnet and fancy patterned hosiery produced with the best quality nylon covered Lycra.

Cifra has more than one thousand different styles in its production catalogue and can also produce new designs and exclusive styles following customers' specific requests. Included in the service the client receives a direct guarantee on the pattern.
