D-house laboratorio urbano, Pattern Group Innovation Lab, Eurojersey with Sensitive Fabrics textiles and Framis Italia, are presenting the Beyond Tailoring project as an exclusive preview at Pitti Immagine Uomo 107, from 14-17 January 2025. The innovative concept redefines the boundaries of menswear design and engineering through cutting-edge technologies.
Beyond Tailoring is the result of a partnership between leading companies in the textile supply chain. By combining their specific and complementary expertise, they promote a new way of dressing that is dynamic, functional, and versatile. The project reinterprets classic menswear with an innovative approach, merging high-quality materials with advanced techniques.
It features four total looks created using Eurojersey’s warp knitted Sensitive Fabrics, a patented technical stretch fabrics’ range made in Italy by Eurojersey, combined with state-of-the-art technologies such as Framis’s thermo-taping and heat-sealing, Alvanon’s data-driven sizing ecosystem, along with Stratasys's 3D printing. Thanks to the expertise of D-house, the Innovation Lab of Pattern Group, these elements come together in four outfits with a classic yet reimagined design, customisable and tailored to individual needs.
Loreto Di Rienzo, Creative Director of D-house laboratorio urbano, comments: “This project represents an opportunity for collaboration within the supply chain, leveraging new paradigms of sustainability and technology to create valuable and innovative products from every perspective.”
Beyond Tailoring is a starting point for a tailoring model that embraces modernity, responding elegantly and precisely to the challenges of the sector.
At Pitti Uomo, visitors will be welcomed into a multisensory journey designed to entertain, amaze, and inspire. This exploration of various production stages offers an innovative experience, allowing attendees to engage with sustainable and technologically advanced solutions.
Thanks to the synergy among the partners, Beyond Tailoring creates a pioneering design ecosystem. This integrated model provides an innovative and concrete response to market needs, proposing a new standard of collaboration that merges creativity, technology, and sustainability.
Andrea Crespi, Managing director of Eurojersey, said: "Our Sensitive Fabrics are a fashion ingredient with a technical soul, perfectly suited to the concept of future tailoring that goes beyond style. Today more than ever, the alliance among a network of productive companies becomes strategic to achieve a value chain that drives business."
Micaela and Francesca Salotto, CEOs of Framis Italia, added: "Framis' thermo-adhesive solutions are at the forefront of redefining the boundaries of tailoring. Creativity transforms into shape and beauty."
