Leading builder of warp knitting machines Karl Mayer, has confirmed that it has already made sales of its DJ4/2 Seamless Smart double needlebar raschel machine. The news was announced as Karl Mayer prepares to show the machine next week’s Yiwu H&G machinery show in China, which runs from 18-22 November.

Karl Mayer says that the DJ 4/2, which is produced by Nippon Mayer in Japan, was only presented to the market in spring of this year, and already several machines have already been sold.  The attraction for manufacturers is the new narrow working width of 44 inches and ability of the machine to allow quick sampling and therefore short run production.

The configuration of the DJ 4/2 has also been completely revamped and special technical features include two ground guide bars and two jacquard bars, which offer all the patterning possibilities of six shog lines. In addition, the machine is equipped with the tried-and-tested piezo technology for controlling the jacquard needles, Kamcos with MultiSpeed system and electronic beam drive.

Karl Mayer says that it’s tried and tested technology enables the DJ 4/2 to operate at a rate of 800 to 900 stitches per minute, whilst offering the typical high product quality associated with Karl Mayer, together with exceptional user friendliness.

The company says that with relatively low investment costs and a much improved price/ performance ratio, the new narrow-format model complements the existing RDPJ which has a working width of 138 inches.

Karl Mayer says that the DJ 4/2 is the machine of choice when it comes to efficiently developing new products as well as for flexibly producing smaller batches. It’s versatility, together with its relatively low cost, give the customer plenty of scope when developing and organising production ranges, and is perfect for companies wishing to gain a foothold in the seamless sector.
