Sensitive fabrics gain increasing prestige in the outerwear and sport sectors.

Every year Première Vision offers the ideal opportunity to showcase the potential offered by Sensitive fabrics in Ready-to-Wear and Sportswear, two sectors where demand for the Eurojersey range of products is experiencing constant growth.

According to the Northern Italian company, this success is driven by Eurojersey’s exclusive characteristics, underpinning the creation of a number of innovative aesthetic and technical solutions.Eurojersey’s Sensitive fabrics are already well-established favourites in swimwear and intimate apparel, and now their versatility and compatibility with the most cutting-edge manufacturing and finishing techniques, like the revolutionary stitch-free technology using to bond the fabrics, means that they are also ideal for making outerwear and sports garments. These latest generation designs combine strong aesthetic appeal with high performance, and can offer a highly effective all-round response to the full range of today’s consumer demand.

Sensitive is a unique system of patented, ‘made in Italy’ fabrics with a high Lycra content available in a range of hands and weights (from 117gsm to 350gsm). Eurojersey claims that each fabric coordinates perfectly with the others in the range, offering the benefits of superior wearability, lightness and breathability, all fundamental qualities that are recognised and valued by international outerwear brands.

One of the most exciting new developments in the Sensitive range is Life fabric. Conceived for swimwear, SensitiveLife, with its high performance and anti-abrasion features, is according to the company, the ideal fabric for many applications in the sport sector, as it responds fully to the needs of wearability, comfort and wear resistance.

Backed by a wide and varied offer, Eurojersey continues to develop its sportswear proposals, collaborating with prestigious brands in a number of disciplines, including cycling, jogging, gymnastics, athletics, fitness, skiing, pool sports and the triathlon. The latest season’s most exciting news is the collaboration with Slam, a large Italian sportswear brand. Eurojersey has teamed with Slam in the Area 51 project, the high performance Slam shirt worn by the Italian yachting team for the Beijing 2008 Olympics.

Allesandra SensiniDiego RomeroSensitive pays tribute to the excellent performance of the Italian sailing athletes at Beijing (a silver for Alessandra Sensini in the RS:X windsurfing class and Diego Romero’s bronze in the sail yachting) and takes Area 51 to Paris. Slam’s ultra high-tech garment is the outcome of intense scientific research, taking advantage of the outstanding protection against solar rays guaranteed by the compact structure of the Sensitive fabrics.

Sensitive fabrics are also gaining growing recognition from a number of fashion brands, including many French names. According to Eurojersey, they choose Sensitive fabrics for their easy care and easy wear qualities, created by the versatility, wide range of weights and varied drape features they can offer.

Thanks to innovative developments enhancing the Sensitive base range with special versions combining the fabrics with other materials like mono and bi-elastic piles or stretch membranes, Sensitive continues to develop increasingly avant-garde and imaginative applications.
