Yesim monitors waste water

Yesim Textile, a leading manufacturer of knit goods for US and European retailers, took part in the 'Online monitoring of wastewater' project, started by its region’s Metropolitan Municipality. Yesim Textile is the ninth company to launch the monitoring station, with the support of the Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. Mayor Recep Altepe recently visited the site to examine the station with Senol Sankaya, Yesim Textile CEO. He said: “Yesim Textile is a company that services the world's leading brands in production and is one of the most established companies in Bursa. In the factory there is already existing treatment plant. We established the station here to observe if the system was operating and to show the plant as an example for other companies.”

Measurements

The Yesim Textile online tracking system aims at preventing the companies from polluting  rivers. Operating with set water parameters, it instantly transmits the data to the Ministry of Environment and BUSKI.

Altepe explained: “Parameters for dissolved oxygen in the water, the water conductivity, pH value of the water, the water temperature and water flow are instantaneously communicated to the Ministry of Environment and BUSKI. In this way, we manage the remote control of all industry and avoid pollution of the environment.”

Yesim Textile CEO Senol Sankaya said that the company has recently shifted its focus towards environmental sensitivity. The company has a daily production capacity of 55 tons of knitted products, 70 tons dyed, 100,000 meters of printed fabric, 150,000 garments and 60,000 home textile products.

A production partner of the Nike brand since 2005, Yesim Tekstil also manufactures for internationally renowned brands such as Gap, Banana Republic, Old Navy, Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Esprit, Hugo Boss, Lands' End, Tchibo and Schlafgut.
