Fashion day & night

Terrot says its clients are specialists in realising the ideas of the international designer world and the production of knitted fabrics and fashion clothing for different kind of target groups. The scope of finished goods exhaustive and includes, polo shirts, striped shirts, sweaters, tops, t-shirts, slipovers, pullovers, shirt jackets, waistcoats, leggings, trousers, skirts, dresses, evening dresses, tunics, fleece jackets and accessories. In addition the company also says that high quality, excellent fit, perfect fashioning and trendy designs are the success criteria of its clients in the beachwear market. Terrot says that cotton, polyester/ acrylic, polyester, polyamide and elastane are still the important components of outerwear and to produce premium fabrics out of these yarns it provides its customers with the right circular knitting machines.

Home textiles

In home textile the range of circular knitted fabrics extends from mattress coverings to fitted sheets, bedding and pads to upholstery and furnishing fabrics. Initially discovered as a niche product, the knitted mattress tickings are now in high demand with Terrot’s customers. Covers of comfort mattresses consist of more or less voluminous elastic knitted fabrics. Innovative materials with improved features on the basis of polyester and polyamide combined with cotton and viscose are processed into double-face fabrics with wadding yarns on electronic jacquard circular knitting machines. Terrot says, in this respect there are almost no limits in the pattern variety of its machines.

Due to their special 3-dimensional structure, spacer knits offer widened application possibilities in the area of home textiles. Spacer knits distinguish themselves not only by their low weight but also by their breathability resistance to pressure. Spacer knits have further beneficial features such as sterilisability and can adopt a non-ageing effect by the use of new developed fibres and yarns. Terrot says that they are thereby vastly superior to the traditional foam laminating.

Circular knitted spacer knits are also used as a base material for mattresses and pillows large quantities of circular knitted fabrics are also knitted for bedclothes and fitted sheets. High-quality cotton and modal fibres with and without elastane are used in the production of single-jersey fabrics as well as interlock fabrics and in many homes these days patterned and plain-coloured upholstery and furnishing fabrics are used. Polyester, polyamide, acrylic, cotton, viscose and other materials are even enmeshed on special jacquard and plush machines which Terrot also has in its product range.

Sports and leisure wear

Differences between leisure wear and functional sportswear are nowadays hard to find whereby the demands for the materials are almost the same in both cases. Automotive 

An application area of technical textiles where circular knits play a part is in the automotive sector. Circular knitted fabric is used in the interior of cars for example as base material for door covering, seat covers, head rest, armrests, roof liner and different kind of pillars. The demands for these products rise in line with the latest safety standards, comfort, functionality, design and life span. In circular knitted fabrics for automotive use functional synthetic yarns are processed and these yarns assure thanks to their special qualities like resistance to light, abrasion-resistance and flame resistance that the quality and safety requirements are fulfilled in the vehicle interiors.

Stability toward environmental influences like light, temperature and humidity is important for the life span of these wear-resistant textiles.
