Santoni, the leading seamless knitting machinery manufacturer, has announced that the participating designers of the company’s Santoni Pioneer Programme that lasted for two months have graduated successfully, marking the end of the first session of the programme.
A special Graduation Ceremony for all the designers in Santoni Ever'n Knit Village was hold by the manufacturer last week.
Karine Van Tessel, the founder and operator of SPINEXPO participated in the event. “Today when I see Santoni Pioneer Programme in front of me, I realize it is already highly beyond my expectation,” she commented.
Programme
The programme, which ran from 22 March to 22 May 2015 at the Santoni Shanghai venue, includes an intensive training course, during which students will cooperate with peers to develop new ideas, and work alongside a team of technicians to achieve creative and technically advanced knitted garment designs.
The final goal of participants was creating a four look capsule collection, which demonstrates the skills obtained during the course of the programme.
Designers presented with a graduation certificate said that they were thankful that the programme offered them many opportunities which they thought were impossible in the past.
Santoni
Santoni was founded in 1919 as the first Italian socks machine manufacturer. In 1988 the company was acquired by the prestigious Lonati Group, world leader in the production of socks and pantyhose machines.
Since then the company has become synonymous with the “Seamless” phenomenon, becoming itself the world leader in the production of electronic knitting machines for garments without seams.
Today Santoni meets 97% of the worldwide demand for seamless machines, which are used in various sectors of the garment industry including underwear, sportswear, beachwear, outerwear and medical garments.
