Shima Seiki MFG, the leading Japanese computerized flat knitting machine manufacturer, will exhibit at the upcoming Best Solutions in Textile Manufacturing trade fair (BSTIM) that takes place in Igualada, Spain, this month.

At the show, the company will exhibit technology that was displayed at ITMA 2015 international trade fair for textile machinery that took place in Milan last November.

On display

The flagship Wholegarment knitting machine MACH2XS that drew the greatest crowds at ITMA 2015 will be the highlight at BSTIM. Featuring Shima Seiki’s original SlideNeedle on four needle beds and spring-loaded moveable sinkers, MACH2XS is said to offer higher efficiency and greater stability with expanded patterning capability while knitting Wholegarment items.

The compact SWG061N2 Wholegarment knitting machine offers flexible production, as well as the capability for producing industrial textiles.

The novel SRY123LP computerized flat knitting machine features loop presser beds with inlay capability, offering new and exciting possibilities in knit-textile hybrid fabrics as well as technical textiles, the company reports. The SSR series workhorse shaping machine will also be on display, featuring the latest in Shima Seiki computerized flat knitting technology.

3D design system

Also on display will be the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. Key to Shima Seiki’s Total Fashion System concept, APEX3 integrates all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to production and sales promotion.
