Kornit Digital, a manufacturer of direct-to-garment and digital roll-to-roll textile printing solutions, plans to demonstrate the ‘game-changing possibilities’ that cutting edge technologies can offer competitive and visionary enterprises in Asia by showing high speed and entry level digital printers in Shanghai.

It is showcasing two machines in  its portfolio, from entry-level equipment to mass production solutions at FESPA China & CSGIA 2013 taking place at Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center from 18-20 November.

Fast and cost-saving

Visitors will be the first in Greater China to experience Kornit’s newest high-speed DTG machine, the Kornit Avalanche 1000, along with the entry level Kornit Breeze.

“The new Avalanche 1000 has been designed from the ground up to meet the needs of our most demanding customers for a robust, operational 24/7 mass-production solution. The new system is based on more than 10 years of real-world experience, which Kornit has built up in the field,” said Eyal Manzoor, Managing Director for Asia Pacific, Kornit Digital.

"Combined with an in-depth understanding of our customers’ requirements, Kornit has created something genuinely different that not only handles volume, but also offers incredible quality at an extremely low operational cost. That adds up to a very rapid R.O.I. and a healthy revenue stream going forward.”

Mass production

Designed for the mass production of garments, Kornit’s Avalanche 1000 is a dual pallet industrial-grade device designed for heavy-duty use. For example, the print-head array, equipped with 24 Spectra Polaris heads, generates very high speeds and great print quality. An integrated humidifying system makes the machine resistant to daily climate variations and a back-up battery system allows the main power to be turned off when the machine is not being used, the company reports.

“The Avalanche 1000 features a print area of up to 90 x 60cm and 12cm wide pass printing. An automatic height adjustment mechanism allows printing over buttons, zippers and other protruding objects, at a rate of up to 300 light and 170 dark garments per hour. With all those new features, the Avalanche 1000 is perfectly suited to be used all day, every day and for all volumes,” commented Manzoor.

Digital and screen printing

The company will also showcase its Kornit Paradigm, a value-added solution designed for screen-printing carousels. This digital add-on combines photorealistic graphics with analogue options, such as foils, flocks and glitter effect inks.

“The Kornit Paradigm brings garment printers the best of both worlds – digital and screen printing – and protects their analogue investments by connecting them to the digital world of web submission, Variable Data Printing and individualised garments. It also enables carousel users to dramatically reduce set-up and make-ready times, which boosts efficiency and R.O.I.,” explained Manzoor.
