Eurovet, the organiser of the Salon International de la Lingerie and Unique by Mode City, has organised, for the very first time this year, an official awards ceremony, during which 200 European boutiques were recognised by a panel f swimwear professionals, made up of brands Banana Moon, Gottex, Seafolly, Melissa Odabash and Calarena.
The members of the panel and Eurovet, gathered in Paris last month to celebrate the commitment, expertise and know-how of these boutiques in front of the entire profession from around the world.
Two hundred European retailers specialised in lingerie and swimwear were thus awarded for the customer experience they provide, the relevance of their advice, their fitting service, and the success of their loyalty programmes.
“Times are tough, and the quality of the customer experience in-shop is crucial to the future of specialty retail,” organisers explain. “The retailers selected know their customers perfectly and know how to select and offer the right product that will make each woman even more beautiful in her own individual way, when she enters the boutique. So many wonderful women’s stories have thus been heard and written within their fitting rooms all over Europe.”
“Our specialty retailers ply a magnificent, often challenging trade that is little known. They transform women’s lives, and such is also the mission of Eurovet: to honour them and spread the word about their expertise, using this award.”
After the ceremony, a drawing allowed the Caress boutique in Brasschaat (Belgium) to win a trip for two to Nosy Be, an island just off Madagascar, courtesy of Eurovet’s partner Air Austral, as well as a beauty box offered by the organiser’s partner Avenue des Parfums.
According to Eurovet, this initiative communicated a bold, positive message in support of key retailers, which will be repeated next year and expanded to retailers worldwide, during the 2020 edition of its summer events in June.
