Abstract of WO2008081579
Provided is a yarn end treating device for a flat knitting machine, which can actuate a cutter by itself with a gripper unit side having the cutter, even if the rotation of a sliding guide member is not used. A first gripper (11) and a second gripper (12) have a first gripping portion (13) and a second gripping portion (14) capable of gripping a yarn (5) at their leading ends, respectively. The actions of the first gripping portion (13) and the second gripping portion (14) are performed on the basis of the relative movements of a first groove cam member (17) and a second groove cam member (18) to a first holder (15) and a second holder (16), respectively. The first gripper (11) also has a cutter (19), the action of which is also performed together with the first gripping portion (13) by the relative movement of the first groove cam member (17) to the first holder (15). Thus, the state change of the knitting yarn grip and the action of the cutter (19) can be performed even if a track (20) is not rotated.
