Scottish heritage golfwear brand Glenmuir reveals its Autumn/Winter collection for 2019 with products made with luxurious fabrics and contemporary design.

“This collection delivers high performing products beautifully crafted and designed from luxurious performance and natural fibre fabrics. We believe the collection meets the high demands and needs of the modern elegant female and male golfer,” commented Claire Woods, Head of Design, Glenmuir.

Performance and design

The company introduces three new Men’s Touch of Cashmere Zip neck sweaters for Autumn/Winter 2019. Each unique design reflects upon Glenmuir’s key principles: g.Beauly illustrates traditional heritage with a classic argyle; g.Corrie showcases contemporary design with a striped and colour flash chest and sleeves; and g.Galloway reflects elegant luxury with a subtle moss stitch and cable front incorporating a discrete flash of signature Glenmuir tartan concealed underneath the placket.

New Autumn/Winter Ladies’ Touch of Cashmere styles include a subtle sparkle this season. g.Naomi has lurex yarn twisted through an ottoman stitch design on both the front panel and the sleeves, whilst g.Adriana incorporates a sliver sparkle lurex raker for a contemporary twist to the traditional argyle. g.Illona combines a shaped and flattering cable and moss stitch design.

Performance wear remains a focus for Glenmuir who has seen a record demand in this category. This season the extremely successful performance pique polo shirts g.Deacon and g.Paloma are now being offered in a long-sleeved option, g.Max for Men and g.Misha for Ladies. The fabric is active and highly functional with moisture wicking technology delivering breathability, UV protection, thermoregulation and enhanced freedom of movement, the company reports.

Midlayer and padded collection

The midlayer and padded collection has been a key focus for this season and has expanded by three brand new products. g.Crail is a lightweight brushed back midlayer offered in three colour combinations each including a marl with a contrast ribbed cuff and hem, whilst g.Killin is a striking two-colour design, also available in three colourways.

Both options are designed to deliver thermoregulation and breathability due to the nature of active functional fabric with moisture wicking yarn. In addition, the brand new quilted hybrid g.Arran combines a padded marl front and back panel with jersey fleece backed sleeves and side panels providing the ultimate garment for water and wind resistance, heat insulation provided by down which retains body warmth and enhanced freedom of movement provided by stretch panels.
