Looking forward to post crisis 21st century trends , Santoni is all set to welcome visitors from around the globe to its well established Santoni Days event which kicks off this Thursday at the company’s premises in Brescia. The company is ready to unveil to its customers, its three innovation routes for what it calls the advent of the ‘New Age of Seamless’.
Three routes to innovation
The first route is to face the new consumerism with intelligent garments that combine looks with comfort and duration in both outerwear and sportswear. Santoni will show completely new models in its SM9-MFS and MF as well as the SM-TR1 for the greatest versatility and productivity in a range of seamless outerwear, sportswear and ‘semi- innerwear’ garments that it says will lead the way commercially, technically and style wise.
Santoni’s second innovation route is to enter the new knitwear market that is neither fully-fashioned nor cut and sew. The Brescia based company will show its ‘Seamless Innovation Knitwear’, that it says will be a new seamless winner with the high performance all new version of the SM8 –EVO 4 as well as the other two new models mentioned above.
The third Santoni innovation route is that followed by the company’s pioneering New Seamless Warp division with its SWD8 double needle bar warp knitting machine which was conceived in the Santoni tradition of compact dimensions coupled with very high performance. Santoni says the SWD8 warp knitting machine for seamless garments, which was launched at last year’s Santoni Days event, combines the universal qualities of Italian Style in day, evening and nightwear, as well as garment accessories.
Fine gauge circular knitting
The Santoni Days exhibition will also cover the growing new trend in circular knitted fabrics for ultra fine gauges. The group’s Vignoni Atlas single jersey machine in 54 gauge with patented system for a superb fine fabric both in handle and appearance, will be on show along with its fine gauge Pulsar interlock and the fine gauge Orion rib machines. In addition it will show the new Iris striper, a completely new concept for striping with a variety of yarns and with higher productivity and versatility.
On the hosiery side, the Santoni Group will show the latest post knitting automation processes for line closing and toe closing together with its Tecnopea range of packaging and boarding machines.
