Lenzing chief steps down
After stepping down, Friedrich Weninger will continue to serve as a consultant for the Lenzing Group in the coming years.

Weninger, who has been working for the company for more than 25 years and recently managed the company’s production facilities with its more than 6,000 employees, decided for personal reasons that he would not seek a contract extension as a Member of the Management Board. However, he will continue to serve as a consultant for the Lenzing Group in the coming years.
Extraordinary achievements
“On behalf of the entire company, we would like to thank Friedrich Weninger for his decades of committed work and his extraordinary achievements as an employee and as a Management Board member of the company“, said Michael Junghans, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lenzing AG.
“Recently, the company profited from his experience and expertise as Chief Operating Officer, especially with respect to the successful restructuring of the Group as well as the planning and successful startup of the new Tencel plant in Lenzing. We are pleased that Friedrich Weninger will continue to support the company in an advisory capacity.”
Starting at the beginning of the year 2015, the tasks previously assigned to Weninger will be carried out by the remaining Management Board members Peter Untersperger (CEO), Robert van de Kerkhof (CCO) and Thomas Riegler (CFO).
