A UK based company has launched a new website which matches buyers and sellers of surplus yarns. Cheshire based Yarn Harvester has launched the new site to promote its growing global business.

Many manufacturers in the textiles manufacturing supply chain accumulate stocks of raw materials or yarns that they can no longer use for a number of different reasons. Sometimes clients have cancelled orders for fabric and sometimes manufacturers are forced to take large minimum order quantities which they do not use in full.

At the same time, other manufacturers in the world may well have the capacity to use these products and pay for them at a reasonable price level, but usually considerably below the market price level.

Business model

Yarn Harvester is on a mission to record materials that are available for sale worldwide and allows the seller to advertise their excess stock material in a discreet manner – allowing buyers to browse to find lots that they can use, often in sizes and weights that suit their manufacturing operation. And it does all of this via its brand new website at www.yarnharvester.com.

“In fact the company’s business model is designed so that the buyer and seller handle the transaction through Yarn Harvester and will never know each other. We treat all our dealings with buyers and sellers as strictly confidential,” says Yarn Harvester’s Business Manager Alex Djuranovic.

“So sellers have the chance to boost cash flow, free up valuable storage space and eliminate unwanted stock. And buyers have an opportunity to acquire the yarns that they require at beneficial prices,” Alex explains.

Ensuring anonymity

Yarn Harvester is a business enabling companies to dispose of excess stocks of yarn and allowing other companies to buy their excess stocks.  The company does this by listing its client’s surplus stock on its website and it then brokers the deal between the two parties. The company also organises shipping and ensures anonymity and has an extensive database of customers that it regularly keeps informed of its listings.

“We are always interested in excess yarns, so should you find you have yarn that you no longer need please send us the product details with as much information as possible which we will then list free of charge,” Alex says.

“Additionally, if there are any particular yarns that you are looking to purchase, please let us know your requirements and we will do our best to source them for you.”

“We welcome the chance to discuss your requirements to see how we can be of help to you.”

To view yarn Harvester’s current stock availability please visit www.yarnharvester.com . If you do not have time to browse the company’s website you can email [email protected] with details of your requirements.
