Calzedonia has chosen products from the Iluna Group’s Green Label collection for its new Eco Collection of tights. The tights are described as beautiful, innovative and responsible, and GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certified, as they are made with recycled yarns.
The premium ingredients used in the collection are: Q-NOVA by Fulgar, an eco-sustainable nylon 6.6 fibre obtained with regenerated raw materials that meet precise traceability needs and that is Global Recycled Standard (GRS) certified; ROICA EF by Asahi Kasei, the premium stretch yarn certified Global Recycled Standard (GRS) and made with 58% of pre-consumer material, which gives superior comfort and a performance fit.
The Eco Collection includes different styles of tights, such as the zebra patterned seamless net made with 85% Q-Nova and 15% Roica EF, above.
Iluna Group was founded in 1969 based on an idea of founder Luigi Annovazzi - the production of pre-shaped bra cups. In 1985 Iluna acquired the Ondoli di Cuggiono plant, specialized in the production of stretch lace, challenging the French Leavers lace producers. The products which constitute the core business of the group are elastic and rigid lace for underwear, corsetry, hosiery, beachwear and apparel, seamless articles using Karl Mayer technology as well as microfibre fabric and tulle. Recently Iluna Lab was added, a vessel for technological and stylistic innovations. Iluna’s flagships the Black Label series, enriched by ultrathin lace and the GRS certified Green Label line.
Roica ‘Advanced fit for living’, is described as a premium stretch fibre with an innovative range of smart functions to suit the modern wardrobe. Roica shapes comfort with high quality, performance and fit, adding value to everyday living for sport, activewear, intimates, fashion and career wear, producer Asahi Kasei says. Roica also offers a range of yarns, marketed as Bemberg, designed to confer a cool, supple drape with a sensual silk-like touch.
