After three days of intense activity at CNR Expo, Première Vision Istanbul closed the doors on its first edition last month.

The show was organised by a new company controlled 51% by Première Vision, the leading international trade show for the fashion industry, and 49% by CNR Holding, the leading organiser of trade shows in Turkey and manager of the CNR Expo Istanbul exhibition centre.

The show’s goal was to accompany a vibrantly dynamic Turkish textile industry – 16% of the Turkish industrial sector and the second leading export area – in both a local market that is rapidly growing, and in regional Middle Eastern and Eastern European markets.

Experience and reputation

Held in the heart of the Turkish economic capital, Première Vision Istanbul benefited from the strengths of both entities: the experience, reputation and legitimacy of Première Vision in terms of international textile industry players, as well as its network and fashion expertise, together with the event expertise and knowledge of the Turkish market provided by CNR Holding.

The event also benefited from the direct and active support of the country’s two main professional associations, the Union of Uludag Exporters (UTIB) and the Istanbul Union of Textile and Raw Materials Exporters (IKTIB).

On offer

In terms of the offer, Première Vision Istanbul brought together some 153 exhibitors, with 57% of the exhibiting companies coming from Turkey and 43% international exhibitors from Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Austria, Bulgaria, Denmark, Portugal, and Romania.

The show presented a rich and diversified offer of textiles and materials, including yarns and fibres, fabrics, accessories, denim, services, textile designs, marked by creativity and innovation.

Attendance

Major names from the international textile industry included: Akın Tekstil, Çalık Denim, Ä°skur Tekstil, Sanko Tekstil and Saydam Tekstil from Turkey; and from abroad: Marzotto Group, Miroglio, Clerici, Seterie Argenti, Bottonificio BAP (Italy), Paulo de Oliveira and Riopele (Portugal), Creations Robert Vernet and Malhia Kent (France), Kindermann (Germany) and Lenzing (Austria).

With 8,294 visitors, Première Vision Istanbul can take pride in an extremely successful launch. Visitors from Turkey totalled 83% of attendees, but a large number came from neighbouring countries (1,381 visitors). These included fashion brands and industry professionals from Russia, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece, and Iran and Egypt.

Autumn/Winter 2015-16

The show featured specific services and fashion information tailored to the zone’s local markets and regions. Visitors to the Istanbul show were enthusiastic about this seasonal fashion information.

For the Autumn/Winter 2015-16 season, the Première Vision fashion teams displayed the fashion directions, the rich and diverse offer of the exhibitors, and the seasonal colour range, all in an inspirational forum especially designed for Première Vision Istanbul.

Visitors were also able to get a better understanding of the season through fashion seminars presented both by the Première Vision fashion team and by the Carlin trend bureau, which focused on style and silhouette.
