ShinWon Corporation has partnered with Columbia Sportswear and Planet Water Foundation to install an Aqua Tower at El Patrocinio Elementary School in Guatemala. The initiative, marking World Water Day, aims to provide safe drinking water to the local community while promoting long-term sustainability and public health.

As part of the Aqua Tower Project, the newly installed system can purify up to 1000 litres of water per hour, supplying clean water for up to 1800 people daily. The installation is located near one of ShinWon’s manufacturing facilities, reinforcing the company’s commitment to supporting communities where it operates. Beyond water purification, the initiative includes hygiene education programmes to improve public health and disease prevention among students.

JJ Park, CEO of ShinWon, commented: “We are proud to contribute to addressing the global water crisis in celebration of World Water Day. ShinWon remains dedicated to supporting the communities where our overseas subsidiaries operate, delivering meaningful and lasting impact.”

Headquartered in Seoul, South Korea, ShinWon operates 13 subsidiaries across five countries, employing approximately 30,000 people. The company is actively engaged in corporate social responsibility initiatives, including the ‘Building Houses with Love’ programme, which improves housing conditions for employees, and financial assistance for medical treatment.
