Jacquard focus for Terrot at ITMA ASIA + CITME 2014

German circular knitting machine builder Terrot will be exhibiting at the ITMA ASIA +CITME 2014 platform for both Chinese and international textile and textile machinery manufacturers that will be taking place from 16-20 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China. Together with its partner Terrot Hong Kong, the company will be showcasing two machine models – I3P154 34” E28 and UCC548T 34” E28.

German circular knitting machine builder Terrot will be exhibiting at the ITMA ASIA +CITME 2014 platform for both Chinese and international textile and textile machinery manufacturers that will be taking place from 16-20 June at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China.

Together with its partner Terrot Hong Kong, the company will be showcasing two machine models – I3P154 34” E28 and UCC548T 34” E28.

Terrot I3P 8-lock machines stand for sophisticated range of knit structures as well as scope for widely differing yarn types, allowing the economical production of new fabric structures and high-tech knit goods, the company reports.

The product is designed to provide maximum flexibility with optimum efficiency. Terrot lists the following features of its new machine:

  • Special shaped cams for various stitch structures guarantee a wide range of application.
  • Easily adjustable mechanism for fine adjustment of needle gating for Interlock or Rib.
  • Quick Change – simple change of gauges in the range of E10 – E363 offers more flexibility.
  • Terrot Control Panel permits the easy reproduction of settings.
  • Dial drive and cylinder bearing supported in oil bath with maximum concentricity precision results in utmost fabric quality in spun and especially for critical synthetic yarns.
  • Stitch cam slides on each knitting segment for individual stitch lengths offer an excellent Knitting head I3P154 adjustment in the fabric setting.
  • The motorised take-down device with own electric roller drive is individually adjustable.
  • The system density of machine model I3P154 guarantees an outstanding production output.

Terrot believes it has achieved the culmination of its stringent standard of quality and reliability with its Jacquard machine series. The company aims to set new standards by adjusting the selection technology with the Piezo needle selection.

Compared to magnet technology, Piezo technology is said to provide more process reliability and machine performance in the daily production due to eight separate selection fingers for tuck/ miss on each feeder.

Amongst the advantages of the new UCC548T machine model, the company outlined the following:

  • Increased efficiency by the effective use of 36 knitting systems and 16 transfer systems with a machine speed up to 16 RPM (34”).
  • 3-Way-Technique for positioning the needle in Knit-Tuck-Miss is said to offer diverse knitting structures.
  • Dial drive and cylinder bearing supported in oil bath with maximum concentricity precision results in utmost fabric quality in spun and especially for critical synthetic yarns.
  • Terrot motorised take-down for absolutely constant take-down tension.
  • Reproducible digital settings via adjustment on the Multiterminal.
  • A new generation of transfer technology in fine gauge up to E32 allows genuine hole structures in different dimensions. Body Mapping for sportswear can be created in a completely new design on the basis of Single-Jersey.
