Shima Seiki Italia and Knit-Tex Rom to host open house event in Romania

On display will be a comprehensive line-up of Shima Seiki's computerized flat knitting machines, including the latest SV variant of SRY123LP and SRY183LP.

Shima Seiki Italia, Italian subsidiary of leading Japanese computerized knitting machine manufacturer Shima Seiki, in conjunction with its Romanian sales agent Knit-Tex Rom, will be hosting an open house event, in Sibiu, Romania, from 21-23 September 2016.

On display will be a comprehensive line-up of Shima Seiki's computerized flat knitting machines, including the latest SV variant of SRY123LP and SRY183LP, which features the so called WideGauge capability to allow a variety of gauges to be knitted on a single machine.

The SVR workhorse series, designed for shaped knitting, will also be on display, as well as the SIR 123 for Intarsia shaped knitting and SSR series that aims to offer industry-leading technology in an economical package. The SCG 122 SN for specialized coarse gauge knitting will also be presented, as well as a coarse gauge offering with NSES 122 CS. The company will also exhibit the compact SWG 091 N2 for producing smaller WHOLEGARMENT items and accessories.

3D design system

Demonstrations will be held on the SDS-ONE APEX3.3 3D design system that is at the core of the company’s Total Knitting System concept. With support of all aspects throughout the knit supply chain, APEX3.3 aims to integrate knit production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to machine programming, production and sales promotion.

According to the manufacturer, especially effective is APEX3.3's capability to improve on the planning process through the use of Virtual Sampling. Photo-realistic simulation capability is designed to minimize the need for sample-making, effectively reducing time, material and cost from the sampling process.
