The Swedish Textile Machine Expo (STM) returns for the second time from 13–14 November at the Swedish School of Textiles. The meeting place for sustainable textile production spans two days, featuring open labs, Swedish and international machine exhibitors, and interesting discussions about the future of local textile production.

“Welcome to an exciting update on the technology and expertise in AI, automation, digitalisation, recycling, and traceability that is available in Sweden today,” the organisers say.

“Advantages such as automation and AI, modern technology, and knowledge of the need to implement sustainability in everything from material selection to production and distribution provide excellent conditions for moving all or part of production back home. Therefore, we gather machine manufacturers, textile producers, students, and other stakeholders for a Swedish textile machinery fair where we can showcase new machine technology, share knowledge, and increase collaboration in the industry.”

On site, visitors can meet Swedish manufacturers of components and machines for future textiles production, and representatives of international machine brands. There will be opportunities to see machines in operation in the Swedish School of Textile’s labs, participate in presentations about the latest machine technology across the entire value chain, and network with industry players.

Several events are taking place during this inspiring textile week:

Borås Textile Days - The Swedish Textile Machine Expo is part of Borås Textile Days which takes place in the Textile Fashion Center 13-15 November.
