Terrot, the leading German manufacturer of electronically and mechanically controlled circular knitting machines, is launching its innovative CORIZON spinning technology which directly feeds a knitting machine from rovings. The manufacturer will present the new product at the upcoming ITMA 2015, the international trade fair for textile machinery that takes place from 12-19 November in Milan, Italy. Interested visitors will be given exclusive presentations at the show and demonstrations will be complemented by especially designed application examples made from CORIZON.

The company participated at the last edition of the fair that took place in Barcelona in 2011, where it launched a prototype of this new technology.

Future-oriented innovation

Terrot's senior technical specialists presented a future-oriented prototype to an exclusive audience at ITMA 2011. The company's F132-AJ direct spin-knit process was launched, which the company said at the time was a new dimension in fabric knitting.

The direct spin-knit process used an air jet spinning system. It did not mount the rovings, clearing or drafting units or indeed spinning nozzles on the knitting machine like competitors machines but instead it had a creel type arrangement on three sides of the machine which housed the complete rovings to spinning process. In other words, yarns were spun by the side of the machine and then fed to it in a more normal way. The spinning unit was able to be fitted to all Terrot Single-Jersey and Double-Jersey machines.
