On display
As pioneer of WHOLEGARMENT knitting technology, Shima Seiki will show its SWG061N WHOLEGARMENT knitting machine, which has been developed to provide opportunities for highly flexible WHOLEGARMENT production over a wide range of items in a compact, economical package.
MACH2SIR is an intarsia specialty machine with the capacity for up to 40 intarsia carriers, the largest number of intarsia feeders available in flat knitting, the company reports. The benchmark SVR series welcomes the addition of a new model shown for the first time at ITMA Asia + CITME 2016 held in Shanghai last October.
SVR123SP features a loop presser bed mounted above the rear needle bed and is capable of inlay technique for producing unique, value-added hybrid knit-weave fabrics. The SSR series workhorse shaping machine will also be on display, featuring the technological advancements, such as DSCS Digital Stitch Control System; spring-type moveable sinker system; stitch presser; yarn gripper and cutter; takedown comb; and more.
“For each of these machines, Made-in-Japan quality, reliability, productivity, user-friendliness and cost-performance combine to satisfy the high expectations of the world’s fashion industry,” the company reports.
3D design system
Also shown will be the SDS-ONE APEX3 3D design system. At the core of Shima Seiki’s Total Fashion System concept, APEX3 is designed to integrate all stages of apparel production into one smooth and efficient workflow from planning and design to production and sales promotion.
With ultra-realistic product simulations, APEX3 is also capable of Virtual Sampling that minimises time, material and cost from the sample-making process.
