Sock manufacturer Kingly welcomed a high-profile diplomatic and NGO delegation to its sustainable manufacturing facility in Sofia on 8 April 2025, underlining its growing reputation as a leader in ethical textiles production. The visit was led by His Excellency Nathaniel Copsey, British Ambassador to Bulgaria, accompanied by Mr Tim Buissseret, Commercial Attaché to the British Embassy.

The delegation also included Mrs Dilyana Maneva, Deputy Executive Director of the For Our Children Foundation, and Mrs Rumiana Jeleva, Corporate Partnerships Manager at SOS Children’s Villages Bulgaria. Their attendance reflected Kingly’s deepening engagement with non-governmental organisations, reinforcing its long-term commitment to social responsibility and community involvement.

CEO Robert Armour and COO Chris Edmonds personally guided the group through the company’s award-winning facility. The visit spotlighted Kingly’s position at the forefront of sustainable textile innovation and showcased its proprietary Cradle-to-Gate tracking system, which provides product-level transparency on carbon footprint, ethical sourcing, and environmental data via unique QR codes.

Kingly’s production model, which upcycles textile waste into high-performance products, was another focal point of the tour. The company’s operations are backed by several globally recognised certifications, including Ecovadis Platinum, OEKO-TEX STeP Level 3, GOTS, ISO 9001 and 14001, and Sedex SMETA 4-Pillar auditing.

The visit followed Kingly’s recent accolade as Best Manufacturer of the Year at the BizX 2025 Awards in the UK, where CEO Rob Armour appeared alongside notable figures such as Daley Thompson, Gary Vaynerchuk, and Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill.

Ambassador Copsey and Mr Buissseret expressed particular interest in Kingly’s charitable efforts, which include regular donations, community fundraising, and volunteer programmes aimed at supporting underprivileged children and families across Bulgaria.

To commemorate the occasion, Kingly presented Ambassador Copsey with 20 pairs of bespoke, embroidered socks, a symbolic gesture echoing a similar set gifted to British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, celebrating quality, craftsmanship, and international collaboration.

“This visit was about celebrating values—sustainability, unity, integrity, and the power of meaningful collaboration. It was a bridge between Britain and Bulgaria, built not just on trade, but on shared purpose,” said Robert Armour, CEO of Kingly.

The company expressed gratitude to the British Embassy for its recognition and support, affirming its ongoing mission to lead in ethical manufacturing and innovate for a better textile future.
